Finance Minister sees investment-protecting law working in 2020
KYZYL, republic of Tuva, Aug 23 (PRIME) -- The State Duma, Russia’s parliament’s lower house, may adopt a law on protection and encouragement of capital investment in autumn to come in78 force in 2020, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Friday.
“Our plans envisage that the bill will be sent to the government within a month so that it could be considered by the State Duma during the autumn session. The bill is a top priority, investors are waiting for it,” he said.
“We have reached an agreement in the economic block of the government and need to agree with some other authorities… Our plans envisage (that the law may come in force at the beginning of 2020.”
The bill regulates signing and implementation of agreements to protect and encourage investment struck between an investor and the Russian Federation for investment in the country.
